IDENTIFY HIGH-DEMAND TEMPLATE CATEGORIES Selling 2D design templates as a recurring revenue stream begins with understanding that customers are rarely buying “design files” simply because they contain attractive graphics. They are buying a reduction in the time required to produce something they already need. I would call this the Repeated Task Market . Social media managers repeatedly need promotional posts, businesses repeatedly need presentations, professionals repeatedly need resumes and organizations repeatedly need flyers. The opportunity exists where a visual task occurs frequently enough that rebuilding it from an empty canvas becomes inefficient. A template product should therefore be selected according to the frequency of the customer's problem rather than the designer's personal preference for a particular style.
